Sultry Smokey Eye Makeup

Recently, there has been a new trend in smokey eye makeup. Many women have found that not only does it add a touch of drama, however, not just for an evening look. Many women are now adding it during the day as well, with just a slight change to how they apply the eye makeup.

There are many great colors in smokey eye makeup that many women have not tried. You can now find trends in the shades of grays, blues, mauves, tans, greens and more.
You can use your standard eye makeup to create a smokey affect. Here are some quick and simple ways of doing so.

1) With an eye makeup brush, apply the color you wish to wear.

2) Using a cotton swab, lightly smudge the color over the entire eyelid.

3) To add more drama, apply a darker color over the top, then smudge this in as well to give a fading affect.

4) Using an angled brush, you can use the darker eye makeup to apply a touch of your eye color as a liner. This will add to the look you are trying to achieve.

5) Finally, apply a dark mascara. It is said that this will add to the dramatic affect for the smokey eye makeup.

Through taking the 5 simple steps you should be able to achieve the look you want with ease for night or day.

If you have chosen to where your eye makeup differently for a day wear, you can easily change it to appear to look like smokey eye makeup. Simply apply a darker color over the lighter color then smudge with a cotton swab. Then to add to the affect, simply add a small amount as a liner.
A good rule to remember to getting that Smokey Eye Makeup look, try and match the color of your eye makeup to the outfit you are wearing. If you are wearing a solid colored top, go either a shade lighter or a shade darker to what you are wearing. If you are wearing a print, choose a color in the print to use for your eye makeup color.
